Yes Gerry, pigs can fly - though very low and very slow. I can attest to the fact as a former C-119
astronut.

The trick with your attempt focuses not so much on the two MLB's and their features, but on
laminating them to the CIC core (standard thickness .060"). Following this comes the
drill/fill/drill/plate sequence. A big part of making the thing work is drilling through the CIC -
done typically with ordinary tool steel drill bits as opposed to carbide or other types. Then, the
CIC must be prevented from oxidizing (as it is a combination of nickel and iron it does this
instantly). This is done using a 20% HCL solution immediately prior to plating. And on it goes.

I've sent you some pretty/ugly pictures of a better/easier way to go. If you must persist, as it
appears, I will send you even more pix and we may have more discussions.
