From your brief description a lot of assumptions have to be made, however
have you considered that since you have a lot of good output and your
problems are highlighted in th transistors, it would seem some in
particular, then perhaps layout design/ pad design could be considered as a
solution. It is believed in some circles that a high proportion of soldering
shorts, are attributable to design/design for manufacturing issues.

Technetters,
We have an Electrovert Wave soldering machine, that does not
use a hot air
knife, we wave solder alot of PCB's with good results. We
have one
particular PCB that exhibits solder bridging on some
through-hole
transistors. Can anyone offer some suggestions, it would
most helpful!
