We are checking the components visually under an inspection scope for
coplanarity. The machine we are using is a Mydata with vision
inspection of all fine-pitch devices. We are using a 6 mil laser-cut
stencil. The profile has a preheat to 150 degrees C at a ramp of 2
degrees C per second. The soak zone goes between 150 and 183 degrees
C with a time of 2 min and a ramp of .6 degrees C per second. The
reflow has a peak temp of 220 Degrres C with a ramp of 1 Degrees C
per second and a time above liquidous of 80 seconds (per Kester's
recommendation).
