Happy New Year all!
Dear Enza,
What we do when we need to manually break apart multi-up panelized cards is to
"sandwich" the panel in a stabilizing fixture. This includes clamping the card
top and bottom to prevent bending / warpage which can cause parts to break if
they are separated in a method without stabilizing the card. Cards are
inspected following this separation process with the sandwiching fixture to
maintain integrity.

Subject: [TN] Depanelization Fixtures
Happy New Year Technetters!
Does anyone have information or recommendations for designing
depanelizing fixtures used to manually depanelize (i.e., snap, break
away).062 thick, scored, PCBs. Without fixturing, there is a problem
with capacitors cracking.
Thanks!
Enza
