Chris,
We run Pcad under NT4 here as well.
Unfortunately we have never been able to
run at higher than 640 x 480 either.
No help, but you are not alone.
I would like to hear of any solutions
that come along.

Subject: [DC] Graphics Card with full VESA BIOS for DO

I just got a new PC with NT4, and am having problems doing support
work on old P-CAD designs.

My video card doesn't have full VESA compatibility built into the
BIOS. You have to run some VESA BIOS Extension TSR that ATI made for their
Mach64 card. My new integrated card is a 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X, and it doesn't
work well with those TSR's under NT4's "quasi-DOS". Apparently they do work
under win95 or win98 flavor of DOS.

The P-CAD driver DVESA256.REX sort of works when I boot to DOS
(obviously not the right driver though). All the other P-CAD drivers are
coming up in 640 x 480. Anytime I try to run from NT4 in a DOS window, the
best I get is 640 x 480 (we have a serial key...)

If anyone knows of a nice 2D or 2D/3D graphics card (prefer AGP)
that has full VESA compatibility (without relying on some BIOS extension
TSR) and will work with P-CAD on an NT4 box, please drop me a line.
