 In the early CAD days,  DSU (Data Structure Unit) was used to define grids in
many CAD packages.
 Example: 60 DSU is 60 grids to an inch. 1/60 =  0.0166666" per grid.  Thus if
you used a 0.008" line you would have an 8mil line/space technology.
