Actually it's a 8 - 1/3 mil grid. If your system doesn't support true 8 - 1/3 mil grids you can't use an 8.3333 mil grid since the routes won't go 3 between on 100 mil center pins once you get too far away from the origin. This grid by the way allows you to get 3 between 100 mil pins and that's about it. We don't really use it any more since the advent of fine pitch surface mount.

Does anyone know the significance of routing signals on an 8.333 mil
grid? This is a customer requirement on a PCI card.
Also where can I find PCI Rev 2.1 Spec?
