Hello all,

This notice is going out ahead of our next regular meeting notice which
you'll receive soon.

If your are interested in participating in the election of officers in our
chapter, or would like to be considered for an officer position continue
reading ...

In January we are holding our "first" Annual Meeting. At that meeting we
plan on holding "ELECTIONS" in accordance to our soon to be ratified Bylaws.
Here is an exerpt from those bylaws:

---
ARTICLE VIII NOMINATIONS AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS

The nomination of officers shall be by means of the nomination committee.
The nomination committee shall prepare and submit to the Secretary a slate
of at least one candidate for each office, subject to the limitations that…
   (1) Each candidate must be a member of the chapter.
   (2) Each candidate must have expressed a willingness to serve, and
   (3) To the extent practicable, the officers shall be representative of
the entire geographic area served by the chapter. No more than two
representatives from a company shall be elected to office.
---

* What does this mean to you?

  1) If you are not a paid up member with the IPC Designers Council by the
December 16th Executive Board meeting you will not be allowed to participate
in elections. (You can attend and SHOULD but you can't vote)

  2) If you are interested in being a candidate for office you must have
approached our Nomination Committee Chairperson by the December 16th
Executive Board meeting or you won't be included on the list.

  3) It would be ideal to have one or more representative officer(s) from
outside of the Portland, Oregon area. Having company support to allow you
to attend IPC DC meetings (one per month as an officer) would minimize your
personal expenses.

I've appointed Mia Leidelmeyer ([log in to unmask]) as our
Nomination Committee Chairperson. She will be taking names of eligible
candidates prior to submitting them to our Secretary/Treasurer Lynette
Hawkins ([log in to unmask]).

Please contact Mia if you are interested in being a candidate and or contact
Christine Myrick ([log in to unmask]) of IPC to become a member in the
Pacific Northwest Chapter of the IPC Designers Council.

ONE FINAL THOUGHT: If we don't have all (primary) Executive Board office
nominations filled with eligible candidates by December 16th this chapter
may cease to exist do to my work, school, and family obligations. Your
participation is crucial.

Thank you for your time.

 Jim Yohe, President
 Pacific Northwest Chapter
   of the IPC Designers Council
