Actually, you CAN get a virus from reading email. It gets
lodged in the subject line, and is considered a "malicious script." A few
of them surfaced a few months back, and both Netscape and Microsoft
scrambled for a fix. Wired News covered the story, as well as a few others.
Microsoft released a path for Outlook and Out look Express days after the
security issue was discovered. However, Netscape is still working on it
last I knew.
