Hello ...

Our next General Membership Meeting will
be on November 18th at 6pm to 8pm at
Tektronix, Inc. in Beaverton, OR. We will
meet at the building 45 Cafeteria (East
     entrance).

For direction see Tek's campus map on their
     web site:
     http://www.tek.com/Tektronix/About_Tektronix/bv_map.html.

(Building 45 is shown near the upper center of
the map.) Additional directions to the Tektronix
campus are a click away at the bottom of their
     web page.

Our meeting topic, "PCB Design: Continuing
employment in an unstable market" will cover
     the timely subjects of:

       * Personal Experience and Self Assessments
       * Resume Development and Oregon
           Employment Dept Resources
       * Contracting and Consulting Pros and Cons
       * High Tech Job Trends and the Oregon
           Labor Market Information System.

Our presenters are Jim Yohe (Senior PCB
     Designer - Contractor), Sharon Gheen
(Marketing Rep - Oxford & Associates), and
     Christina Hernandez (Employment Specialist -
Or. Emp. Dept.), and Jon Lebre (Labor Market
Information Specialist - Or. Emp. Dept.).

Plan on attending and picking up some tips and
highly useful materials so you can prepare
yourself if you decide it's time to move on (or
if that decision is made for you by your current
     employer).

(Please RSVP for security purposes to my
email address [log in to unmask] by November
     16th.)
