I'm also looking for a formulation which does the same.  In the past we had
an etch which contained iodine crystals, ferrous chloride, potassium iodide,
and sodium carbonate.  This may not be a complete list of components, but
cyanide was NOT used.  It was used to etch sputtered gold on nickel, and
only etched the gold.  Any help is appreciated.
