Pat,
0.008mm sounds incredibly thin. Should it be 0.008 in. (AWG32)? If so, you
may contact Team Sales Inc at (619)749-2033 for the information of a
mechanical stripper called Abisofix.
I assume you've already tried dipping in a solderpot at 400degC and did not
work. You may also talk with your design engineer and supplier to see if
the enamel coating may be changed to solder-strippable type
(MW28,MW79,MW80, etc.). The feasibility depends on the UL insulation class
of your product.
Hope it helps.

Subject: [TN] Stripping Enamel covered wires
Good Afternoon!
Can any of you tekkies out there help me, I wish to remove
the enamel coating from 0.008mm Cu/Mn/Ni wire. The present
method uses a Potassium Hydroxide solution mixed with
water, but does not remove the enamel sufficiently.
Thanks in advance
Pat Diamond
