<< Fellow Technetters,
I need to obtain a copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet for
Kleenox "P" made by Electrovert. I would appreciate it if someone can
fax me a copy at (503) 696-1846. A scanned copy would also be O.K.
I'm also looking for any information about cost savings from
using it and any negative effects other than the odor. if anybody has
done a comprehensive report on its use, that is what I'm looking for.

         Thanks In Advance,

Hello Tom!

I pasted the KLEENOX-P MSDS I fetched from:
http://hazard.com/msds/index.html
It's a server that has a huge database of MSDS's that is searchable by either
the product name or the product's manufacturer.
I use KLEENOX, but have never done a study on it...never felt one was needed.
It's pretty obvious when you use it correctly
that it saves you mucho dinero by reducing the amount of solder that you throw
away when you de-dross your pot. That by the way,
is how I use it. I don't use it so much as a dross preventer, but when I'm
cleaning my pot out. I'll gather all the dross in my pot to one section and
sprinkle a bit of the powder over top of the dross and work it in a bit. Let
it do it's smoking and melting, and when it quits smoking go ahead scoop the
dross from my pot into the dross bucket. You'll find almost no solder with the
dross...just pure oxides.
