Hi Patty,

We use a Hughes welder as Ed recommended and it does work well but the Kovar
ribbon is expensive and it needs a good operator. There is another
alternative made here in the UK which uses copper ribbon. It is much easier
to use because it automatically delivers the exact amount of energy to make
the weld so you don't have to adjust anything. We had to rent one when our
Hughes needed repair and it worked well plus the copper ribbon is much
cheaper. The manufacturer is Seetrax Ltd and their telephone number is ++44
1730 260062.

By the way we ran out of the 6 mil and 10 mil Kovar ribbon. If anyone knows
of a source I'd be grateful. Delivery is 4 weeks at the moment. Luckily we
don't need to use it much otherwise I would buy the Seetrax machine.

Subject: [TN] fab: repair inner layer trace
