Hello,

Rounded to the nearest tenth of thousandth, 1 oz. = .0014" per square foot
(think of an area one (1) square foot in size and one (1) oz. of copper is
poured into this one (1) square foot area - that equates to .0014" in copper
thickness over the one (1) square foot area  - Half (.5) oz. is half this
thickness (.0007").
