Linda,
With the study you completed, what sort of times would you say
the program walk-through took? Also, has anyone determined
component reliability/life from hand-soldering vs. reflow?

It takes about four times longer to hand place components than it does to
use
the machine. This includes set-up time also. By set-up time I mean load
the
parts on the machine not walk through the program.
We have just completed a study on this. The components are mixed including
some fine pitch.
