We recently had a proto board get fried during HALT (Highly Accellerated
Life Test). The stink was profuse and permeated the entire building for a
day. So here's the question: Should we be worried about any toxins being
released when a board (FR4) smokes? There is typically burnt laminate,
sometimes a high wattage resistor, maybe an electrolytic cap. We wrote up a
safety concern so our safety commitee needs to address this soon. Any help
would be appreciated. Respond to me directly and I'll post a summary.
Thanks in advance. Joe
