All standards which deal with component orientation write
"SHOULD be parallel" etc. etc., none writes SHALL, and for my
feeling, this is sometimes an esthetical question which is against the
electrically perfect placement of the components. I for myself prefer
the shortest possible wiring, and my assembly subcontractors can live
with polarised components in different orientations.
