Good Grief , Earl ! ;
apart from signing your soul off (let's be Christians ; without having
to slave in Nortel [Bev's canoeing somewhere on holiday]) ;
I'd agree with it all , especially the opening lines .

Last time I've hit this one (not on your Grand scale I have to admit ,
only an ancient Hollis pot) ;
I took it to open field (to disperse the potential shockwaves) ; tilted
that damn thing on shortest side on forklift and chained it from
sliding, lifted it above ol' drum with water ; borrowed an oxy from next
door friends garage (seeing your tonnage you'll have to pay refill),
clamped all the proximity rigging on soft flame with scrap metal strips
(bend as you progress) , fired it up and settled for lunch 20 yards away
to warn off potential death wishers .
Take soft flame (face it 45 degrees downwards = as it melts it does not
freeze on rim , eventually you get the pot hot enough = make sure you
get the tilt right first time) on it (tin is more touchy than lead ;
when you refill ; send sample to lab ; you may have to add few pure tin
bars in ; it goes always faster even in normal production [as you know]
) ; you'll be fine ; it's more of a show than chore .
All of that accomplished without leveling our cute coastal village
(Sydney) .
Just don't rush it . Considering the gold mine involved , it's worth it
.
Keep adding water (running hose is cool) & have the drum on (solid)
pallet .

See you Earl                                               paul
