Hi Earl,
The best way I've found to transfer solder is using those large egg cartons
that McDonalds et al get their eggs supplied in. The solder doesn't burn
the material (surprisingly) and when cooled the solder 'eggs' just drop
right out in a good size for your new pot - a good size for melting from
cold that is......
