Recently, in response to an inquiry regarding the implementation of Mil-
Std-2000, I had provided a list of web sites where information on Acquisition
Reform (present acquisition practices, Single Process Initiative and Block
Change) could be found. Thanks and a tip-o-the hat to Charlie Barker for
calling to my attention that many of the addresses which I provided have
become obsolete now that acquisition reform is pretty well in-place. After a
little research and some help from a friend I came up with the following
correct addresses which may be of interest to anyone who is in search of
information on AR:
- http://www.arnet.gov for the Acquisition Reform Network which has links to
several related sites,
- http://www.dodssp.daps.mil/dodssp.htm for the DOD Single Stock Point for
Mil-Specs/Stds and related publications
- http://www.acq.osd.mil/dsp/ for the Defense Standardization Program home
page from the Off. of Assistant Sec. Def.
- http://www.afmc.wpafb.af.mil for the Air Force Material Command home page
- http://web.ansi.org/public/about.html for the American National Standards
Institute home page.
