I am looking for data which will tell me the amount of strain
that various SMT components can survive.
I aim to take a PCB with SMT components, mount strain
gauges to the PCB, and measure the strain transferred to the
SMT components. I then wish to compare this data to some
"known limits" for SMT components in order to determine if I
am in a "safe", "unsafe", or "marginal" zone.
I would also like to hear of anyone else's experiences with
similar issues.
Thanks for your inputs.
Sincerely,
Michael Lang
