I did run into this situation in my previous employ and the
resolution was having the contracts and design people redefine
        their documentation.

No current military contract should be able to continue to
        invoke Mil-Std-2000 or Mil-Std-2000A.

All of the ones I worked to were obsoleted several years ago.
Are you sure the ones you are working to are still in effect?
The military was pretty proactive in changing the contracts, not
        issuing waivers.

Hi!

I have a situation that maybe some of you have experience with. Our older
military contracts require soldering to Mil-Std-2000 and we have been
performing to that spec. for years. Now, with the cancellation of 2000A,
we're trying to play catch-up. We are still trying to perform to the spec.
but our solder certifications have expired. A formerly certified Cat. C
instructor is training our folks at the local Community College using his
old Mil-Std 2000 course materials. The College is providing a Certificate
of Training. Our contracts folks are working on a waiver or deviation
while we migrate to ANSI-J, but I was wondering if anyone else has run
into this problem. Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis
