Ezequiel,
I wasn't trying to dispute IPC standards. Our wave solder pad config
IS per IPC standards. I thought so, but didn't know where in the IPC
standards it was captured. Lisa told me where. Ok? Geesh. When I said that
people come and tell me to change our pad to IPC standards, I meant that
they want the pad to be 1.6MM wide (2.0 for caps). I was pretty sure that
reducing the width for wave solder was captured in IPC-SM-782 but I didn't
read the fine print at the bottom of the table and was asking for help. I
got it. I'm a happy camper.

Except that I'm becoming slightly paranoid about my ability to communicate
clearly, based on some of the responses I've received.

That's what I think,
-Chris-

I hardly think IPC came up with their recommendations from out of the blue
Cris. If they are
documented as Lisa has pointed, then we can be pretty sure almost 100%
positive that
IPC has done their homework. What do you think?
