TechNet,
Got a question about storage temperature of an electronic assembly that I
can use some help with from the TechNet expertise section.
We build a PWA (smt, pth, conformal coat) that utilizes commercial
components with stated operating range of -40c to 85c. Does that temp
range create any problems with solder joints/reliability over any
extended period of time? I'm not certain of the effect of the -40c temp on
solder joints for
any period of time, or how to go about determining the charactoristics of
solder joints at -40c.
Appreciate any opinion, comment or information.
Regards.........DT
