        Good 'ole (and I do mean old) IPC-D-275 page 9 has a chart for
calculating distance between conductors for
voltage ratings.
Anything above 500V     Internal = V x .0025mm
                        Exernal uncoated sea level to 10,000' = V x .005mm

                        Exernal uncoated sea level above 10,000' = V x
.0254mm
                        Exernal with permanent polymer coating any elev. = V
x .00305mm
                        Exernal with conformal coating over assembly any
elev. = V x .00305mm
                        External component lead/ termination, uncoated = V x
.00305mm
                        External component lead/ termination, with conformal
coating = V x .00305mm
