       So you want some conversion freeware? If I tell ya' where to get it,
whatcha gonna give me? Oh wait, that wouldn't be freeware then...nevermind. Go
to:  HTTP://3lib.ukonline.co.uk/convert.htm   it's actually a pretty neat
little program. You just type in your units, and then it converts them to the
other convention in Length, Volume, or Weight, and displays all three at
once...not bad for free huh?

       I've often wondered why we haven't settled on one convention yet.  I
remember back when I was a little fart there was a whole bunch of talk that we
were all gonna convert over to the metric system, but then
it....just.......quietly...........faded......... away.....       Why was
that? Seems like we missed the boat on that one. I wish we would have done
it...can't add up all the hours I've spent over my life converting numbers
from one convention to another just so I could do my job. There's been a
number of boards I've built in the past too where the fine pitch footprint got
hosed converting the gerbers from standard to metric, or vice versa. I bet
there's some of you nodding your heads right now on that one...
