To add little to it Marcelo:
On Werner's recommendation we did employ the Anatech's detector and it
works great .
On the other note the recommendation in the IPC-SM-785 to daisy non
linked componentry (for some components you won't be able to find linked
dummies) with silver epoxy proved to be a pain ;
because regardless of all precautions all of the faults so far recorded
was cracked epoxy links .
If you will go that path see if you can use the epoxy dots only to
attach wire links (to avoid cycling epoxy links);
it's laborious but worth it ; even on cleaned test board components will
not hold the epoxy as well as the solder .
I'm sure Werner can throw more light on it still ;
this was the only loose point we've had on the exercise ;
now we know bit better . I think .
