Can anyone help me on this issue ....
We are using standard 2oz copper onto FR4 double sided board. We expect
tracks in some areas to be subjected to temperatures between 135 and 140
degrees C due to high currents passing through the track. This temperature
(or the current causing this elevated temperature) would be present
occasionally (say once or twice daily for the life of the product) for about
10 seconds. I have some reliability questions for which I need some
guidance; What is the long term effects should the copper laminate be
subjected to this temperature. What is the maximum temperature that the
tracks could be reliably subjected to for longer periods of time than that
mentioned above. If anyone has any experience in this field or could point
me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Regards
Mike Meade
