Hi Marcelo,
As part of the contribution to the IEEE Compliant Lead Task Force, Bell Labs
developed the software to monitor intermittent failures, but not get
overwhelmed with the data logging. An improved version of this software is
available from Anatech (781-245-7825) as part of the package sold with their
Event Detector, that is designed to monitor daisy-chains for short-term
(microsecond range) intermittent resistance drops. This Event Detector is also
to my knowledge that meets the failure definition requirements of IPC-SM-785.
Do not use multiplexed equipment for this purpose.
