The silicone Si-O absorption is likely around 9-10 micrometers.  Since many silicones are mixtures, it could be only a qualitative check.  Samples of thin films can be applied to a KBr wafer with solvent.  It is important to exclude moisture if looking for an Si-OH stretch because water will overlap this region.

The price these days is probably comparable to an AA with NOx burner which would give detection as low as  1.5ppm Si.  Good luck.  Maybe the manufacturer knows a less expensive litmus test for their silicone?
