You could apply a thermoplastic "hot melt" adhesive. Fast, removable, etc.
Make sure you store the sticks in a dry location or they will tend to
spatter due to absorbed moisture. One typical problem is a tendency to
"string", but the right technique will limit that problem. Your local Home
Depot has a gun and several types of glue, and they are open till 9 PM -
you can still make FedEx, no problem. Charge them an extra $3 per unit,
send me one. Sounds like a piece of cake to me.
