Papanna,
The best migration path for existing boards into Allegro
is with a pick/place file and gerber files.
Use the placement info with your own Allegro symbols,
then load in the gerber files. There is a built-in
utility for converting gerber data into connect lines,
it works very well. You may need to do something sep-
erate to make the vias appear correctly, but this is
usually trivial.
After that, you'll need to add the plane shapes and
text etc, but you'll have a backdrop "picture" to follow
from the old gerbers.
