I have an odd request.

We have some old tapes that were backed up on a Mountain drive from
Mountain Computer (Model # 01-04075-02). This is an old style backup
device which uses DC600A cartridge tapes. I would like to move this data
to CD-ROM. However, our Mountain drive is having problems reading the
tapes. I suspect that the head is misaligned.

Now for the real question. Does anyone have one of these old, archaic
drives that they would like to get rid of or does anyone know someone who
repairs them? I am trying to avoid paying the big dollars to have a
service convert the tapes for us.

Thanks,
Dave Roesler
