I was recently asked if there are any companies manufacturing a
diagnostic circuit that will detect under current or over current
limits. The device would utilize independent comparators that can
measure separate loads. Current is sensed by monitoring the voltage
drop across the wiring system, PC board trace, etc. When a limit is
reached in one of the comparators, it can turn on an output drive for an
external LED or microprocessor. Any suggestions or help would be
appreciated.
