Dear friends,
I'm interested in a method of creating "keep out" areas on my PWB
designs which identify those locations not to be conformally coated.
Some have suggested creating a silk screen on the PWB, some
dimensioning it on the assembly drawing, others similar yet equally as
difficult to change processes.
Has anyone devised a method to accomplish this without the rework
problems that are associated with change orders (i.e. obliterating
silk-screen and remarking, changing assembly drawings, etc.)?
Is there a reworkable or peelable solder mask (type) of material that
can be easily applied to assemblies at any level then be removed prior
to installation of the PWB into the box/rack/chassis?
Thanks much, Rich.
