Subject: Re: [TN] Surface mounting attachment for RF shields
Walt,
We have developed a SMT "clip" that is used to attach our RF shields.
It works very well in our application. We snap the shields in after
reflow. If you would like more info on this I can hook you up with
the right people.

I am interested in information about using pick and place to attach shields
to PCBs in medium to high volume products. We plan to use a one piece
shield with a perforated top. The shield will be about 1.5" X 1.5". We
hope that the perforations will allow us to reflow the components under the
shield.
Any experience with something like this would be very helpful.
