Just curious...in your experience, what percentage of the problems you see
are unsoldered balls as opposed to shorts?

So far, we have not found x-ray systems to be all that
helpful with BGA inspections. The main issue is that there is still no way
to see if the balls are actually soldered. Alignment and shorts can be seen
though.

We're starting to look into x-ray systems,
