Agree , the software is miles behind the hardware of linear motors .
Documentation is, as you politely described ; cryptic . Indeed .
We do not get fiducial errors ; however glitches in software are common
.
The foot stepping to it's own, is (sorry) your own programming error ;
not helped by software design as well ;
when you program your path on the board you HAVE TO keep in mind the
orientation of touch foot all the time .
Do not rely on the optimising function in programming .
When you program and hit the "optimise" function , it reroutes the path
taking NO REGARD for foot orientation (not clever) ;
we found exactly the same, > stepping to it's own ; the gain on speed is
negligible as well, if your program in smooth meander first place =
don't jump distances ; think in closest steps in the laterality of the
whole board ( optimise in head ) .
With the foot vector in mind it is a challenge, but worth it .
You may find one axis (X) faster ; than favor it on the path design .
We work here with Gemini, the software is GFX 2.O
Jeff Mallia is my programming guru ;he'll write you few points next week
Shaafi Abdullah is a Singapore Camelot Service Manager ; very helpful
with experience way to Apple hey days
Edwin Salido in Philips-Manila has about a half a dozen of this toys;
with corresponding experience .
Allen Duck is a Speedline fellow ; able to point you to more info .
Good idea for the informational exchange ; every bit counts ; it's a
tall task on in-line solder dispensing ;
but it's sure worth it, to skip stencils out of process .
So, welcome to the try hard club .
If you'd decide to dispense with dual needles (to cut time on passives,
if you have a lot of them) ;
or would like to experiment with flattened (oval) needles to aid fine
pitch ; lets converse .
Same to Jared , Paul, & the rest of paste dispensing fellows
See you
