The other problem you will experience is that the s/w assumes that all 244 qfp
have the same footprint, all sots have the same footprint, etc. This is
especially evident in the contract mfg field (that's where I am.) We hired a
programmer to write a program which converts gerbers to the dispense program. It
does work for us.

Has anyone had any experience with this solder dispensing software from
Camalot?  We had some issues that we finally resolved pretty much on our
own, the documentation was cryptic at best and not very helpful.  There are
still some other issues that we have not been able to resolve.  One of these
issues is that the fiducial function in the software does not work (it gets
a memory error).  Another is that the foot of the dispensing needle steps on
solder that has already been dispensed.  Any help on these two issues with
this software would be greatly appreciated.  I may also be able to help if
other people are having the same start-up problems that we had with this
software package.
