Angie,
We had a similar problem, hope this will help:
1) (easiest check) Check that your coolant level has not dropped, and that
coolant circulation pump is working, etc.
2) If the Heat Exchanger flux filtration unit has accumulated a lot of flux,
this will cause insufficient cooling and your parts will come out hot, possibly
even still in the liquidous state. Cleaning your filter will remedy this.
If this is the case, make sure your "Cal. Control" temp limit is not set too
low (should be 70 or 80 deg. C), if at 60, extreme flux accumulation will
result. Also, you can set the "Cal. Controller" alarm limits tighter so if the
heat exchanger gets clogged and the temp rises it will alarm before reaching the
overtemp condition.
We did this, but we wanted a better process indicator so we implemented the
KIC profiling system, which allows constant real-time profile monitoring, with
very tight alarm settings.
I would suggest you call Heller, Dave Jenkins, ph:973-377-6800 for help.
 Good Luck

Subject: [TN] Fwd: reflow oven
Author: Derrick Smith at Carrier-HUN-CED1

Hi techies,
We just purchased a new oven (Heller 1900w) it is 12 zones. We are not
using the first two zones only using 10. The machine set up is
80,100,110,120,140,150,170,175,230,265 and conveyor at 65. The profile
looks good, peak temp at 220, max rise at 2/sec total time above is
between 50 and 60 sec. My problem is when the board exit the oven they
are very hot! I mean these things are flexing, is this normal for a 12
zone reflow oven or are we doing something wrong?

Any help would be appreciate
Thanks
Angie
