Angie,

We have a Heller 1800S oven. This is a 8 zone oven. Our oven settings are
115, 125, 145, 145, 145, 180, 220, and 255. I have the belt speed set to
69cm/min (about 27.165in/min). Our profile is a 4 minute profile, with a 2
degrees C/sec rise, time above liquidus is 30 to 60 seconds. Soak time is
60 to 90 seconds. Our boards do not exit the oven extremely hot. In fact
they are cool enough to handle with bare hands immediately out of the oven.
I believe you belt speed is too slow for this length of oven. With two
extra zones (about 29.4 inches in additional length) you would want to run
your belt speed faster than what I am running mine. I have calculated that
belt speed to be (providing all of your zone lengths are 14.7") 93.345cm/min
(about 36.75in/min). The speed of your belt (65cm/min) could be your
problem. What you are seeing is not normal for any length of oven.

Good luck.

Thanks,
Kathy Palumbo
