(I lost the thread).
Remember too, that using a cross for a ground connection (thermals)
causes inductances to ground, albeit small (few nH). However, in
broadband applications, e.g. 5 - 860 MHz, this may be unacceptable.
I agree. Robust RF and manufacturability mix like oil and water.
I know. I continue to try to mix them.
