Shannon,

You may wish to look at IPC-D-390, Automated Design Guide. It walks you through the
design process using a CAD system. From the original layout through library
creation, placement, routing and then post processing. It was written a few year ago,
but the information captured is still applicable. It can be purchased from the IPC.

Gary Ferrari

My manager has assigned me the task of creating a kind of PCB design
methodology. We currently all have our own way of designing boards
and are
looking for ways to capture this information on paper. I've gone to IPCs
web page and printed out anything and everything on PCB design. Do
you
have any suggestion on where I can start?
