Work Experience
1. Worked as Technician for four and half years in a leading electronics company, Indchem Electronics, manufacturer of switching and communications products in India. I was working in the Design and Engineering department involved in the following works.
a. Printed Circuit Board Layout designing in PCAD for the products EPABX, RAX, MAX, 30 channel Multiplexer, 2ghz Micro wave Radio, Industrial computers and Special projects for industrial automation etc. I have worked in single sided, double sided and multi layers upto 6 layer PCBs. Experienced with placing components on both sides, adding track routing in the internal power & ground planes, manual and automatic routing and worked in surface mount technology. Had a study of the PCB manufacturing unit to know about the PCB manufacturing process from CNC drilling to silk-screen printing. I do providing Gerber output files , Drilling details in Excellon format and Fabrication details to Board House.
2. Working as PCB Designer in Marquip India Pvt Ltd., from March 1995. It is an US based company, manufacturing machines for Corrugator and Paper industries. I am working in the Controls department and involved in the following
a. Drafting Circuit schematics in Orcad Capture 7.1. Creating component symbols and assigning decals to the symbols. Extracting relevant files from capture to convert into Power PCB to proceed with layout designing.
b. Printed Circuit Board layout designing in Power PCB (PADS) for Power electronics department in High voltage power supply, Controller cards for power derives. Working with other controls engineers in designing PCBs for various controls design projects for the machine automation. Providing output files for Board House, Circuit schematic for functional testing department, Ascii file for Genrad testing and manufacturing prints for production.
c. For the maintenance of the clear documents, we have a in-house software in AS400 system and I was working in AS400 system for entering the details of the PCBs and the parts used and also for initiating Engineering change request and Engineering change Note for any changes in the existing circuit.
d. Quality point of view I have prepared the procedures for PCB design process. Prepared activity chart and for each activity check list to ensure the output is Good quality. We were following the IPC standard.
I have been at Marquip Inc , Madison, Wisconsin, USA for four months to attend a Training program in Power PCB and to work in PCB projects.
Looking forward for better carrier and wider my knowledge in PCB designing.
