Please read the TechNet archive for this information. This was all
discussed the last 4-6months or so. Please look into using the archives
first.
If you're not sure how, go to www.automata.com and look for the email
archives (TechNet, DesignersCouncil, etc.).
Thanks. There is so much information out there, that if you don't use the
archives, you're really missing alot of good info.

Always thought that closeness of SMD components to scorelines was a
much
neglected subject. In another life I had some bad bad experiences with
this.
This question can be treated as simple as an educated guess or as
complex as measuring substrate deflection at snap off. Component
orientation also matters.
A good place to start is the usually neglected fact that scoring depth
(=breakoff force) can vary wildely without proper process control.
