I agree with Robert. You should not worry about a different CAD package. The
processes are the same. I switched from PADS/CADSTAR on DOS to ALLEGRO on
UNIX. During the interview, it was brought up that I was not well versed on
the UNIX platform. I explained that the processes were the same, and I also
asked about aliases that the engineering staff were using. Seems that
the engineers had set up unix aliases for nearly all dos commands. Including
the new unix commands, I was up and running in about 2 weeks. If you are
good at what you do, most engineering directors will cut you some slack for
the learning curve associated with another CAD package.
