TechNetters,
We have a customer for whom we supply SIMM PWBs. We have fabricated the boards within all the dimensional recommendations supplied by AMP, with the finished board measuring anywhere from 0.050" to 0.054" thick. They are inserting the assembly into an AMP Micro-Edge SIMM Socket #822134-4. Before they plug the board in, it (the board) appears to be quite flat. After the board is plugged in, however, it appears to be significantly bowed. We'd like to help our customer get to the bottom of this problem.
Has anyone else dealt with a problem of this sort? I'd appreciate any related experiences you may have to share with me.
Regards,
