For myself, it already has. I now output only ODB++ to my fab shops. If
they don't support ODB++ they don't get my work. AND, you'd be
surprised how many companies have gone to Valor Enterprise! I'm
getting at least a 4/1 relationship (haves vs have-nots).

Unless GENCAM (IPCs own version) really shakes up the market, Valor
has got the niche! I asked one of my last vendors if ODB++ would
become an industry standard, and he just smiled and said something like:
"Valor has put a good deal of thought into what they did regarding the
ODB++ format..."

For me ODB++ is the new butter for my bread!

(P.S. Remember the ol' IPC-D-356 format? Did it get implemented very
well? Valor has the format like MicroSoft has your OS!)

"ODB++ will supplant the various Gerber formats within 2 years"

Wondering if it is hyperbolic, or potentially true. Valor does seem to be
making headway toward setting a standard...
