Phil,

     I haven't really seen any "thinly disguised spam" or "blatant
advertizing" that you're speaking of on the TechNet, except for the one or two
times that a mass emailer managed to slip something in. When somebody does do
something like that, ol' Jack is on em' like stink on..oops! wait,..I mean
...uhhhh...like....he's on em' like....hmmm...well, let's put it this way, he
just gets mad!

     As far as people asking each other if they know where they can get this,
or get that, do they know someone who can make this, etc. I really don't have
a problem with that at all. In fact, I've discovered a LOT of solutions for
problems I've encountered by reading who people recommend to each other.
Another good aspect that I feel comes from reading those sort of posts, is
that I usually have absolutely no reservations doing business with a company
that I've seen recommended to someone else on this mailing list by another
"Technetter"...I mean that's what it's all about ain't it? All of us helping
each other?
